Climactic Controversy

The Golden Image

Revelation 17:7- And the angel said... I will tell thee the mystery of the woman, and of the beast that carrieth her...

The story of the Golden Image is written by Prophet Daniel in the Bible. (Daniel 3) Three Hebrews were thrown down into a fiery furnace for not bowing down and worship the image of gold that King Nebuchadnezzar of Babylon had built to honor himself, his power, and his idols. “and who is that God that shall deliver you out of my hands?” he said. (Daniel 3:15)

The story was written also to reveal a future similar experience in which Babylon the Great “reigneth over the kings of the earth.” (Revelation 17:5, 18) A woman appears representing the greatest and most powerful church on earth during the last days of earth history. The woman is carried by a kingdom, a power, a beast which has seven heads and ten horns. (Rev. 17:7; 13:1) “And power was given him over all kindreds, and tongues, and nations. And all that dwell upon the earth shall worship him.” (Rev. 13:7-8)

But there is a remnant that does not worship false gods; “Here is the patience of the saints; here are those who keep the commandments of God and the faith of Jesus.” (Rev. 14:12) The remnant is commissioned by Almighty God to preach the everlasting gospel, announce the hour of the judgment, call everyone to worship the Creator of heaven and earth, and give the last warning to whom by ignorance or by rebellion are still within Babylon the Great worshiping the beast, its image, and the dragon. (Rev. 14:6-11)

Those who do not respond to God's invitation of love to come out of Babylon are left there to receive the seven last plagues (Rev.18:2-4) and the judgment of final destruction in the lake of fire. (Rev. 20:14-15)

In the center of the Law of God it is the fourth commandment: “Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy...” (Exodus 20:8-11) God gave man the memorial of Creation, the seventh day Sabbath, a palace in time, when He created the home for the human race which began with Adam and Eve. (Genesis 2:2-3)

Today, six thousand years later, the world has chosen Sunday, the first day of the week as a holiday, even to try to worship God. Pagan Rome used to worship the Sun on the first day of the week, that is where it got its name Sunday. For the sake of unity, on March 7, 321 AD, Constantine signed a royal decree commanding the people to rest “on the venerable day of the Sun.” Papal Rome, 538 to 1798 AD, accepted the change from Saturday to Sunday and has made Sunday the mark of its authority.

There is no place in the Bible, the Holy Scriptures, where God has commanded another day to worship Him outside of the seventh day, the Sabbath of the Lord. The Sabbath was given to man at Creation, included in the Ten Commandments, reaffirmed in the Bible from beginning to end, and for eternity, in the earth made new, all flesh shall come before God from one Sabbath to another. (Isaiah 66:22-23)

In the last days, the Holy Spirit brings the sealing conviction to those who open their minds to the truth of God: “This is the covenant that I will make with them after those days, saith the Lord, I will put my laws into their hearts, and in their minds will I write them.” (Hebrews 10:16) This tie of belonging will keep the soul safe in the arms of the Lord: “And hallow my sabbaths; and they shall be a sign between me and you, that ye may know that I am the Lord your God.” (Ezekiel 20:12, 20)

Babylon the Great, and her supporting powers, are in the controversy to save the world with laws and decrees for Sunday supremacy, enforcing her mark of authority: “...and cause that as many as would not worship the image of the beast should be killed. And he caused all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads...” (Rev.13:15-17) When enforced by law, Sunday worship becomes “the mark,” and will be the golden image of the last days. It is in the forehead of who believes Sunday is sacred. It is in the hand of who accepts it for convenience.

The threat to the life of God's faithful company is as serious and dangerous as it was to the three Hebrews by the fiery furnace. But if faithful unto death, he or she, alive or dead, their names will be sealed in the book of life to be rescue at the Second Coming of Christ.(1 Thessalonians 4:15-17)

Whoever remains in Babylon and repents not until Christ ends His ministry of grace in the Heavenly Sanctuary and in the Judgment, all that is left for him is the seven last plagues and death. Now is the time to awake, jump to action and run to God for mercy. Praise the Lord.

The first great gift of God to man: the Law.

In the Ten Commandments including the seventh day Sabbath are all the elements that man needed to prosper during his life on earth. Respect, order, peace and love within the community. Who abides by God's Law is more free from trouble with the neighbors or with God.

The second great gift of God to man: Jesus, the Savior.

To anyone coming with repentance and confession to Jesus, He is the Savior appointed by God to forgive sins, and by His grace to write the names of the saved in the book of life for the day of the resurrection at the Second Coming of Christ.
