Signs in the Bible

Turmoil in Palestine

Revelation 12:12 - "Woe to the inhabitants of the earth and of the sea! for the devil is come down unto you, having great wrath, because he knoweth that he hath but a short time."

Each day that goes by is taking a day out of the short time the devil has to destroy the earth before Christ comes back to rescue His people. The devil wrath seems to be at work in the 2006's turmoil in Palestine, in other parts of the world, and at any future conflict, because his time will be shorter.

Where is safety for a human being? Only in the hands of the Almighty. He is the owner of life and of the resurrection. He said: "I am the resurrection, and the life; he that believed in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live." John 11:25. All who trust his life to Him shall be rewarded with eternal life according to the promise.

One of the reasons for the warring in the Middle East, and wherever in the world, is that the world is accelerating to reach the same evil behavior as the people before the Flood. "The earth also was corrupt before God, and the earth was filled with violence." Gen. 6:11. Today, the destructive violence is carried by guided rockets to any targeted area, where the explosion and the fire reduce any building down to rubble and put an end to the lives of many people. Can it get any worse?

Ironically, on the same terrain of trouble was born One that was called: "The Prince of Peace." Isaiah 9:6. He said: "Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you." John 14:27. The inhabitants of the region wanted a liberator that could set them free from the Roman power; and when they realized that in the humble Galilean was a different spirit, they rejected the Prince of Peace. When Jesus, sitting on a colt, was entering Jerusalem, He beheld the city, and wept over it, Saying: "if thou hadst known, even thou, at least in this thy day, the things which belong unto thy peace..." Luke 19:41, 42. On His last visit to the Temple, Jesus said to the Scribes and Pharisees: "Behold, your house is left unto you desolate." Mattew 23:38. The mission of the Temple of God on earth was coming to an end: for so long the sacrifice of the lamb had been pointing to the Real Lamb, that in a few hours He will give His life and blood for the sins of the world.

After His ascension, Jesus entered the Temple in heaven, as the anointed High Priest, to minister on behalf of His children on earth. Read Book to the Hebrews. No more temples on earth sacrificing lambs, and insulting the Lamb of God, His grace and His mercy.

Together with the rejection of Him and His ministry in heaven comes the rejection of His Word: The Ten Commandments. Those Ten Words are the Commandments of love, peace, and liberty. Love to God and love to your neighbor. The Commandments are the will of God for the behavior of man. For that reason He spoke them with His own voice and wrote them with His own finger. When the Commandments are in the heart, there is no war."Great peace have they which love thy law: and nothing shall offend them." Psalms 119:165.

Beside finding in the Bible true reasons for the troubles on earth, it is also necessary to find points or signs in the Bible to guide the mind along future events as set there by the prophecies.

You hear people talking about the sudden disappearance of the saints on a secret rapture, about seven years of tribulation, and about other things that are not in the Bible... When any misconception comes around, it makes you a harder student of the truth in the Bible, and thank Jesus for His warning: "And many false prophets shall rise, and deceive many." Mattew 24:11. I don't want to be deceive. Do you? Let's find true signposts to navigate safely to the end, in the middle of the popular confusion.

The coming crisis, along the lines depicted in Mattew 24, Luke 21, and Mark 13, is going to hit squarely the economy, and the religious liberty of the people.

1 Economic Crisis. Gradually or sometimes suddenly, as the events of the end go by, the financial world will come under the difficulties of the bottom line in James 5:1-5.

2. Religious Liberty Crisis. Babylon the Great comes to the front. Rev. 17. Within this stage the church dominates the state, and enforces its particular religious laws, disregarding love and obedience to Almighty God. The Law of God's Kingdom, the Ten Commandments becomes the battlefield, where loyalty to the Creator is seeing in those that firmly say: "Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus." Rev. 14:12. In the center of the Law, is the fourth commandment: "Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy..." Exo. 20:8. The Holy Spirit is writing that conviction in the heart and minds of those whose names are written in the Book of Life for the Gran Day of the Second Coming of Christ. So, in the coming controversy the Seventh-day Sabbath turns out to be the visible seal of those who love and obey the Creator.

You know what is on the other side of the controversy, the world has chosen the first day of the week for a holiday, and even has renamed it as "The Lord's Day." The coercion and force of the powers of the earth will be behind it: Rev. 13:16,17. In the Judgment in heaven, the personal decision of those taking sides on the final controversy over the Sunday-Sabbath issue is taken as their final choice and serves to identifiy those who are loyal to God from those who remain as rebels to God's goverment. When the Judgment ends, Christ comes to rescue His children, and the rebels perish with the brightness of His coming.. While the faithful are taken to heaven, the earth remain depopulated, dark, and chaotic for a thousand years. Rev. 20; Jer. 4:23-28.

A word for the last days...
Angels are now restraining the winds of strife, until the world shall be warned of its coming doom; but a storm is gathering, ready to burst upon the earth, and when God shall bid His angels loose the winds, there will be such a scene of strife as no pen can picture... Maranatha, p. 266.

A word for the last days...
The observance of the Sabbath is the mean ordained by God of preserving a knowledge of Himself and of distinguishing between His loyal subjects and the transgressors of His law. Maranatha, p. 244.
