The Door to Be Closed Again

Watch Noah's Days

Matthew 24:37 - "But as the days of Noe were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be."

Among the several points of parallelism between the days of Noah and our days we are going to take only a few of them:

1 - The general corruption of society.

2 - The message of warning,
and the response of the people.

3 - The closing of the door.

4 - The talk outside of closed doors.

1. - The general corruption of society.

For 120 years Noah preached and called the people to repentance from their rebellious and licentious life. "And God saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually... The earth also was corrupt before God, and the earth was filled with violence." (Gen. 6:5, 11)

Today, in some places the moral corruption is about to reach the same level of degradation.

2. - The message of warning, and the response of the people.

God said to Noah: "The end of all flesh is come before me; for the earth is filled with violence through them; and behold, I will destroy them with the earth. Make thee an ark of gopher wood... I, even I, do bring a flood of water upon the earth..." (Gen. 6:13,14, 17)

It was an unpleasant message, but it was the word of God, and Noah believed it, even when never had been a cloud on the sky or a rein upon the earth. By faith in the wordsof God Noah began the construction of a huge boat on dry land. Years went by working and preaching the same words of God with an earnest appeal for repentance and a conversion of life to God.

The people didn't know what was rain, because it never reined before the Flood. A heavy dew each night provided the necessary humidity for the plants, plus the four rivers flowing out of Eden carried water to all parts of the earth. (Gen. 2:5, 6)

Soon the wise men on earth began to criticize and oppose Noah's words and ideas. Impossible, they said, Noah can not make it to rain, it had never happened; the laws of nature had never changed. With the years the people took the side of the scientific community of the time, rejecting also Noah's appeal for repentance.

Today, God's message of warning is more real and urgent: "Whereby the world that then was, being overflowed with water, perished: But the heavens and the earth, which are now, by the same word are kept in store, reserved unto fire against the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men." (2 Peter 3:6, 7)

In symbol, three angels are crying aloud from the sky: "Fear God, and give glory to him, for the hour of his judgment is come, and worship him that made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and the fountains of water..." (Rev. 14:6-12) The three angels represent the faithful servants of the Most High preaching the everlasting gospel by voice, the printed page, radio, satellite television and the internet to everybody on earth. No one is excluded. The end is coming to all human beings, and does not matter in which ideological room they are enclosed today.

The wise men of this age pretend to obliterate the notion of the portentous biblical events leading to the assembly of the judgment of God in the heavenly Temple: "I beheld till the thrones were cast down, and the Ancient of days did sit, whose garment was white as snow, and the hair of his head like the pure wool: his throne was like the fiery flame, and his wheels as burning fire. A fiery stream issued and came forth from before him, and ten thousand times ten thousand stood before him: the judgment was set, and the books were opened." (Daniel 7:9, 10) "And, behold, one like the Son of man came with the clouds of heaven, and came to the Ancient of days, and they brought him near before him." (Dan. 7:13) You and I will be called to appear before the Judge of the Universe. What will happen if JesusChrist, the Advocate, is not there to win our case? If He, the Savior, does not put Himself up in our stead? All of us are sinners, we have broken the Law. When we belong to Jesus, in deeds and words, the Advocate stands in our place and the grand jury see only the perfect life of Jesus. "And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous." (1 John 2:1) The forgiven sins are blotted out and the saved name remains pure and clean in the Book of Life to be rescue from earth at the Second Coming of Christ. Christ will call him to life, if dead; and if alive, he will be transformed in a second. What a merciful Savior! (1 Thess. 4:15-17)

According to the time prophecy of Daniel 8:14: "Unto two thousand and three hundred days; then the sanctuary be cleansed," the Judgment is the stage of events that gives way to the Second Coming, and at this time we are more than 160 years living within the hour of the judgment. This day of Judgment was prefigured by the day of atonement of the services in the sanctuary or temple before Christ came to fulfill those figures.

Today, millions of people are responding to God's invitation, with loving obedience, to be the heirs of Christ's Kingdom. We have a Brother in the Judgment who receive all penitent sinners and saved them to the uttermost. (Hebrew 7:25) Christ imparts the power of His life to His children to overcome the snares of Satan, until they meet the coming Savior.

3.- The closing of the door.

After 120 years the ark was finished. The animals began their procession into the ark: male and female of each kind, but seven of each of the clean animals. "And the Lord said unto Noah, Come thou and all thy house into the ark; for thee have I seen righteous before me in this generation." (Gen. 7:1) Moved by curiosity, the by standing multitude heard the last words of Noah while standing on the open door of the ark. The scoffers won the approval of the majority, that this was a project of pure insanity. No one moved forward to enter the ark. And God closed the door, "and the Lord shut him in." (Gen. 7:16) Nevertheless, everybody must have been surprised when they saw the heavy door moving by itself into position, when invisible hands closed the door.

Today, the door of the Temple in heaven is still open, but one day the Judgment will end, and the door of salvation will close forever. The door is still open, and the Lord, the High Priest, the Advocate, is applying justice and mercy to each case. In the Judgment, in the presence of millions of witnesses, the Son of man is selecting the citizens of the eternal Kingdom of God to be established on the earth made new. For every human being, beginning with Adam, on one side are the multiple trespasses against the law of the Ten Commandments and Satan claiming us for that. On the other hand is the Savior with mercy. If we have repented, confessed and asked forgiveness to the Lord, He who knows every heart, will stand in our place with His righteousness to win a child of God for His Kingdom. Put yourself with body and soul in the hands of the Savior, and He will put Himself for you when your name is called on the day of judgment.

On earth, pivotal issues of truth, like the state of the dead, the truth of the judgment, Sabbath and Sunday, and more, will come to the front to align every one with loyalty or rejection to either God or Satan. A day is coming when every mind is locked in one of the two decisions. No one moves anymore. In the Judgment above Christ (Michael) stands up and pronounces the final verdict. "He that is unjust, let him be unjust still: and he which is filthy, let him be filthy still: and he that is righteous, let him be righteous still: and he that is holy, let him be holy still." (Rev. 22:11; Daniel 12:1) With that the Judgment ends and God closes the door of salvation in the heavenly temple without anybody on earth noticing the final moment.

4. - The talk outside closed doors.

The door of the ark was closed. Noah and his family were inside. The scoffers gathered outside the ark to have fun, yelling and talking about the fanatic delusion overriding the mind of the preacher. One day after another went by with a blue and clear sky. No where on earth a storm was forming. Inside the ark, no doubt, it was a real test of faith in God for Noah. After seven days, the scoffers looked up, and something was different, they had never seen clouds, and something was there turning darker every moment. A flash of lightning passed over their heads with a thunderous sound. By the time heavy drops of rain were hitting their heads all scoffing toward Noah had died out.

When the door of the Temple in heaven is closed, the door of salvation is closed forever. There are only two kinds of people on earth: the lost and the saved. It won't be seven days, but seven last plagues that begin to fall upon the lost who don't have their names on the Book of Life. (Rev.16) No doubt, the scoffers will be insulting the followers of Jesus, because they don't know their condition until the first plague fall on their skin. "And there fell a noisome and grievous sore upon the men which had the mark of the beast, and upon them that worshipped his image." (Rev. 16:2) It is time for the servants of God to close their Bibles and preach no more. One by one the plagues take their toll upon the wicked until the last plague is followed by the Second Coming of Christ which fills the firmament with His glory and majesty. None of the wicked can survive the brightness of the Second Coming. When Christ completes the harvest around the earth, He returns to heaven with all His children. No human being alive on earth for the next millennium; only Satan and his evil angels stay on dark and chaotic earth to look upon the consequences of their rebellion extended to the human race.

Biblical historians are tentatively dating the Flood at 1656 years after Creation or 2348 years before Christ. The Flood, beside water, was a cataclysmic event where the Creator of the earth applied His power to alter the crust of the planet in the way we see it today with deep oceans and high mountains. Evidences: the skeletons of the dinosaurs; the deposits of coal, when the forests were suddenly covered with dirt: the oilfields, when lakes teeming with fish were also covered with layers of soil; the shark teeths found by well drillers on many places; and many more.
