Can all the families on earth belong to the Seed of Abraham? Why most people are claiming their land inheritance as it is in the records of

Abraham’s Seed

Gen. 22:18 - “And in thy seed shall all the nations of the earth be blessed; because thou hast obeyed my voice.”

God called a man, Abraham, to be the father of a nation that will preserve the knowledge of God on earth. With family and servants, from Ur of the Chaldees, Abraham migrated North to Haran. Around 1875 BC, at 75 years of age, Abraham proceeded to Canaan, to the land that God was going to show him. God said: “Unto thy seed will I give this land.” Gen. 12:7; 13:15-17; 15:3-7,18. In these verses God repeated the promise of giving the land to Abraham, his seed and descendants. Years were passing by and Sarah could not give a son to Abraham, who was perplexed with the frustration.

After 11 years in Canaan, Abraham had a son, Ishmael, who was born after following Sarah suggestion of using the maidservant to give him a child. A human plan instead of God’s plan; which brought trouble, jealousy, contention and strife into the family from their days even into our days almost four thousand years later. Despite the lack of faith in God’s promises, and when they counted it for impossible, God announce to Sarah and Abraham the coming of their own son. Gen. 18:10-14. When Sarah was 90 and Abraham 100 years old, Isaac was born according to God’s promise.

Abraham was showing lack of faith in God’s protection and guidance; when he went down to Egypt, and to king Abimelech, he said: “Sarah is my sister.” He was afraid they will kill him to take his beautiful wife. God had a plan to give the life of his own Son to redeem mankind and the earth from the hands of the enemy. The Messiah will come to offer himself as a sacrifice to save man, even if it will break God’s heart. How to explain to the human family God’s plan, where pain and suffering were necessary to redeem man and destroy death? Here it was the right human model; and Abraham needed to overcome his lack of faith. When Isaac was a grown strong lad, one night Abraham heard God’s voice: “Take now thy son, thine only son Isaac, whom thou lovest, and get thee into the land of Moriah; and offer him there for a burnt offering upon one of the mountains which I will tell thee of.” Gen. 22:2. You have to imagine the terrible affliction that came upon Abraham; but, it was clearly the voice of God, and he had been failing so many times ... He resolved to obey this time; by faith, he trusted the Lord: God could bring Isaac back to life.

Abraham departed early in the morning without a word to Sarah. Three days of journey and of painful struggle in his mind. At last he explained God’s command to Isaac. “And Abraham stretched forth his hand, and took the knife to slay his son ... The Lord called unto him out of heaven: Abraham, Abraham ... Lay not thine hand upon the lad, neither do thou anything unto him: for now I know that thou fearest God, seeing thou has not withheld thy son, thine only son from me.” Gen. 22:10-12. For hearing and obeying God’s voice, Abraham received the blessing of the Almighty to pass it to his seed scattered on all nations.

When Shem, the son of Noah, died in 1846 BC, Abraham was 104 years old, and Isaac a small child. Sarah died when Abraham was 137 years old. Isaac, at 40, married Rebekah, and 20 years later she gave birth to Esau and Jacob. Abraham lived 175 years, until 1775 BC.

When Christ came He said: “Before Abraham was, I am.” John 8:58. That is what He said to Moses from the burning bush: “I am that I am.” Exo. 3:14. Christ is the Seed of Abraham, Gal. 3:16; the promised Redeemer, the Lamb of God, who gave his life to restore the human race to God, and to recover the earth from the hands of the adversary. When Christ comes back as King of Kings and Lord of Lords, He will take with Him all of God’s children. After the one thousand years of rest for the earth, the Savior returns with the New Jerusalem and the saints who are called the Israel of God and the seed of Abraham, because “if ye be Christ’s then are ye Abraham’s seed, and heirs according to the promise.” Gal. 3:29

In the earth made new every child of God have an inheritance of that land, and the promise made to Abraham will find a glorious fulfillment. “And the kingdom and dominion, and the greatness of the kingdom under the whole heaven, shall be given to the people of the saints of the most High, whose kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, and all dominions shall serve and obey him.” Daniel 7:27.
